Route

We're counting on 15 'months of grace', starting off in april 2004 and planning to return home by the end of july 2005. Personal priorities and the impact of seasonal weather systems led us to our Mediterranean route.

We'd like to reach the Med by the end of May.

Putting it all together:

• Starting off april 2004, back by august 2005 (the latest)
• Normandy and Brittany, linking the Med through Le Canal du Midi. Bastia (Bonifacio ?) towards Italia
• Roma, Napoli and the Sicilian olive orchards
• Lipari and Stromboli: a volcano for a lighthouse
• Sept-Oct 2004 spent between Pireus and Crete - The unforgettable beauty of the Cyclades
• The Lycian coast : Turkye ?
• Cyprus, Israel and Egypt ???
• Winter is spent on Crete (or Alexandria ?)
• Back via Malta and Tunisia
• Backpacking , hostels and B&B
• Cherbourg is an option, as is Wight or Plymouth
• Towards Italy between Corsica and Sardinia
